What do we need?

Our Talent Management team is looking for a new Talent Management Assistant to support our Staff Recruiting Manager, Benefits & Wellness Manager, and our HR Coordinator. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented early career professional who has an interest in learning multiple HR functions within a busy mid-sized law firm. This position would likely start remotely since our team is still primarily working remotely. However, this position will eventually require some in-person days for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

How will you make an impact?

Support Staff Recruiting Manager with full cycle of non-legal staff recruiting process by scheduling interviews, greeting candidates, facilitating candidate testing and running of interview; giving candidate tours
Assist with preparing job descriptions and advertisements; post and update all non-legal staff vacancies on firm's internal Portal, external website, and job boards
Conduct reference checks and background checks on potential hires
Maintain and update Human Resources and Benefits spreadsheets and databases, i.e. BambooHR, Cigna, EyeMed, Unum, Flores
Assist Benefits Manager with Wellness Program by scheduling times for Weight Watchers meetings, FitBreaks, Activity Challenge, open houses, wellness rewards and Financial Wellness events
Communicate benefits deductions to payroll and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy
Input all bills into ChromeRiver while ensuring accuracy of invoices
Assist Benefits Manager with the Affordable Care Act reporting process by compiling data from medical carrier and HRIS
Support Benefits Manager with Open Enrollment season by monitoring employee enrollment and communicating changes to insurance carriers and payroll and creating census spreadsheets for benefits carriers
Compile census data for benefits carriers and brokers utilizing HRIS and payroll information
Assist HR Coordinator with New Hire Orientation and Onboarding for new employees

What will you bring to the role?

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong sense of judgment
Ability to independently manage and organize your own workload
Excel reporting skills are highly desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to receive and process constructive feedback
Ability to follow and effectively execute instructions
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Good judgment skills to handle a variety of administrative and interpersonal tasks
Interest in learning HR, benefits, and staff recruiting functions a plus
Ability to handle confidential, personal, or sensitive information with discretion
