Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for an exempt-level Professional Development Specialist, open to any of our major market office location. The Professional Development Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Professional Development and Professional Development Director. The Professional Development Specialist will have responsibilities in our learning and development programs and performance management processes.

• Serve as a point of contact for internal presenters and external consultants.
• Draft program invitations.
• Develop innovative solutions to foster engagement in hybrid learning environment.
• Review and analyze program evaluations and make recommendations for improvements based on analysis of feedback.
• Identify training needs of attorneys and brainstorm solutions with the PD team to address those needs.
• Work with CLE lead to support CLE-eligible training and projects.
• Support practice specific learning paths.
• Attend and monitor training programs.
• Apply principles of instructional design to signature training events.
• Manage action item list to ensure successful planning and execution of program.
• Work with marketing to brand program.
• Facilitate meetings in conjunction with the annual year-end associate review process.
• Draft and finalize evaluation summaries for associates.
• Manage, manipulate, and analyze data and statistical reports related to the associate review process.
• Provide recommendations on how to enhance mentor/sponsorship programs based on feedback.
• Lead key aspects and implementation of key mentorship and sponsorship programs.
• Design quarterly PD newsletter, The PD Post, with input and guidance from PD team.
• Support and lead other department duties, projects and assignments as requested.
• Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in a professional services setting (legal industry preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, and maintain discretion with confidential information.
• Must take ownership, show initiative, creativity and resourcefulness.
• Proactive and able to effectively balance priorities.
• Able to follow direction, work independently, and provide status updates, as appropriate.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency using Windows, Zoom and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• CE Manager and ViDesktop experience, a plus.
• CLE experience a plus.
