We have an opening in our Finance Department for a Pricing Assistant who will assist the firm's Pricing and Legal Project Management Team in initiating and monitoring matter budget engagements, maintaining matter databases, responding to requests for billing rates and alternative fee arrangements, reporting metrics and other responsibilities. This position can be based in our Bay Area (CA) offices.

Responsibilities Include:
- Liaise with attorneys and clients on pricing arrangements and budget creation.
- Support maintenance of firm billing rate structure, including annual rate setting, client rate submissions, and alternative fee agreements.
- Monitor the fees of matters with budgets and assist in financial reporting to the team and client.
- Maintain and keep up-to-date various databases and process documentation.
- Run reports needed for budgeting, monitoring and performance metrics.
- Actively manage and improve the quality of the task coding of time entries by legal professionals.
- Perform research using sources such as legal documents and the internet.
- Support the Pricing Team on various projects and ongoing processes.
- Compile and prepare financial analysis and reports from various sources (ie: Aderant and EIS).

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and intermediate proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and SharePoint.
- Ability to learn the details and step-by-step process flow of various types of legal engagements including civil litigation, corporate transactions, and Intellectual Property Matters.
- Be able to search and extract key data from various sources including PACER and SEC EDGAR.
- Demonstrated command of statistical concepts and techniques such as multi-variable regressions.
- Demonstrate understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
- Exposure to finance and accounting best practices including reconciling totals.
- Experience with or demonstrate the ability to work with large data sets.
- Comfortable with situations requiring a high volume of time sensitive data entry.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work seamlessly with professionals at all levels.
- Advanced communication and writing skills.
- Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Reporting to the Director of Pricing and Legal Project Management, the qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher. Experience with legal or other professional service industries a plus.
