The Manager, IT Training reports to the Senior Manager, Technology Training & Document Production and is responsible for the design, development and delivery of technology training for business support staff and attorneys; provide day-to-day supervision of the eight-person training team; coordinate schedules, training projects and other initiatives; review staff performance and facilitate development goals.


Allocates training resources and executes training initiatives
Makes recommendations for training staff development
Conducts training staff reviews and performance management
Participates in training project planning and coordinates firm wide training initiatives
Provides creative solutions to improve training team effectiveness and efficiencies
Promotes a collaborative relationship for the team as well as with internal/external clients
Works with management to define instructional, learning, and performance objectives for both the staff and attorney population
Coordinates monthly training class schedule, cross-office training initiatives and project assignments
Presents and makes recommendations to stakeholders regarding course design, technology, and instructional delivery options
Works directly with subject matter experts and conducts other research to develop instructional content
Conducts standardized and consistent training sessions for both staff and attorneys through onsite classroom and online methods
Designs and maintains instructional aides for stand-alone, instructor-led or online learning such as course documentation, manuals, training roadmaps, handouts, and assessments
Recommends changes to content or delivery methods, based on information such as instructional effectiveness data, current or future performance requirements and feasibility
Prepares communications and develops marketing campaigns to promote learning

Must be a self-starter who understands the details within a much larger content

Ability to travel to office locations to support implementation of learning programs and staff development

Bachelor’s degree
Experience providing end user training for individuals and groups on software applications
Certification in related field preferred (CPLP, ATD, eLearning, instructional design, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of professional development/training experience, preferably within the legal industry;
Proficiency in virtual learning technologies (ex: Captivate, Camtasia)
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Word and PowerPoint, MS Operating System, MS Office Suite.
Project Management skills
Excellent people management skills
Experience with large-scale technology rollouts/deployments
Strong communications skills
Technical writing and design of training aides


Normal office environment. Expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. This may include nights and/or weekends in support of the International offices.
