Learning & Professional Development CLE Specialist (Remote Eligible)

Goodwin has an opportunity for a detail-oriented and solutions-minded individual to join its innovative Learning + Professional Development (“L+PD”) team as a CLE Specialist. The Specialist will report to the Learning & Professional Development Manager and will work closely with L+PD team members across the firm.

What you do:

-Evaluate internal firm programs for Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”) credit, and oversee the administration of internal CLE sessions, including ensuring compliance with all applicable CLE rules, the preparation and distribution of all necessary forms, and, where necessary, the completion and submission of applications for CLE credit.
-Manage the tracking of the CLE compliance status of firm attorneys, including collaborating with other members of the L+PD team on the entry of CLE attendance information into the firm’s tracking software and responding to attorneys’ inquiries concerning their CLE obligations.
-Audit firm attorneys’ CLE records for compliance and, in collaboration with the firm’s Office of the General Counsel, counseling attorneys regarding any deficiencies.
-Collaborate with members of the L+PD team to draft and submit all mandatory firm reports to relevant state CLE boards to maintain the firm’s status as an accredited provider.
-Collaborate with members of the L+PD team to create and disseminate communications regarding attorneys’ CLE requirements and available CLE programs.

Who you are:

-Significant experience at a CLE accredited provider and extensive knowledge of CLE administration required; experience at a New York CLE accredited provider strongly preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-3-5 years of prior law firm or other CLE accredited provider experience preferred.
-Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
-Superior interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively, professionally, courteously and confidently with internal and external customers.
-Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
-Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
-Ability to prioritize workload, and work on multiple projects with changing priorities.
-Must be poised and professional with the ability to take a proactive and collaborative approach with others.
-Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent computer knowledge, including knowledge of Micron CE Manager or other CLE tracking software, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to adapt to new software.
