Learning and Development Lead- Corporate

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Learning & Development, the Learning & Development Lead – Corporate will primarily be responsible for the formal and informal attorney training for the Corporate Department, including creating and implementing innovative, comprehensive legal and professional skills curricula, aligned with the Winston Attorney Development Framework and the unique needs of each practice and client team. The Learning & Development Lead - Corporate will work extensively and proactively with the Corporate Department Chair, the Director of Corporate Practice Operations and the Corporate Training Advisors to identify and anticipate training needs, and design in-house programs for transactional associates and partners.

JOB DUTIES:
• Oversee all aspects of attorney professional development for the Corporate Department
• Develop, enhance and implement legal skills training programs to support attorney development
• Design and implement new programs and curricula and develop new initiatives as well as update and deliver the current curricula and programs for attorneys
• Track the learning and development activities by individual attorney, practice group and department
• Identify and oversee external consultants
• Manage the delivery of all programs in the office through online resources, live programs, and videoconferencing
• Work closely with Attorney Recruiting & Development and Business Development to ensure that Corporate and client training align with the firm's strategic goals.
• Contribute to planning and delivering conferences or specialized programs for practice groups
• Maintain ongoing communication with and regularly update all relevant parties at the firm, e.g., Department Chair, group heads, administrative chiefs, etc., regarding Learning & Development activities, soliciting both input and feedback
• Actively research and incorporate professional development trends as they pertain to the legal industry

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• JD Preferred
• 3 + years of practice in a law firm or corporate setting, or equivalent years of law firm professional development experience required

• Professional Development experience preferred
• Strong client service focus with the ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations
• Ability to establish credibility and build strong relationships at all levels of the firm across practices and geographies, particularly with Corporate Department Chair, the Director of Corporate Practice Operations and Training Advisors
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and innovative problem-solving capabilities
• Outstanding writing and verbal communication and excellent presentation skills. Ability to effectively tailor communications for different stakeholders
• Extremely detail-oriented, strong organizational, analytical, and excellent project management skills
