Calibrate Legal has been retained by White & Case to recruit an Instructional Designer to create exceptional quality content to support the Leader Training Program, a partner-led program of training and learning for each newly appointed Firm Leader which is intended to springboard those leaders into their roles and help them meet their full potential as quickly as possible.  Supported by the highest levels of firm leadership, the Instructional Designer will contribute to the design and build of engaging and interactive programming to address specific business needs and prioritized skills for Firm Leaders.   White & Case is an elite global law firm serving leading companies, financial institutions and governments worldwide. Under the general direction of the Leader Training Program Director and in collaboration with the Leader Training Working Group, faculty and SMEs, the Instructional Designer will develop Program content, ensuring the content is up to date, consistent with Firm strategy and standards, and aligns with best practices in adult learning.  

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in instructional design, human resources development, education technology and/or internal communications with a successful track record for creating sophisticated, engaging classroom and digital training materials for the professional adult learner.  In addition to exceptional technical skills (learning tools and technology certifications strongly preferred), the successful candidate will earn the trust of stakeholders through proactive competence and a strong client service orientation.  Polished written and oral communications, facilitation and presentation skills, including the ability to proactively seek solutions and present ideas and information in a compelling, engaging and influential manner are essential.  A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; experience working with cross-functional, international teams is a plus.  The position is based in the firm’s New York office.
