Troutman Sanders is seeking a firmwide Diversity Manager to join our collaborative Professional Development team in Atlanta, New York or Washington D.C. Reporting to the Director of Professional Development, the manager will work with the Chief Diversity Officer, and others throughout the Firm in support of activities related to achieving the Firm’s diversity and inclusion goals.

• Devise and implement short and long-term diversity strategies in consultation with firm leadership, diversity committee heads, and Professional Development
• Consult with the communications team to design the firm’s internal and external diversity brand and communications strategy and ensure alignment of messaging and collateral materials with the diversity strategy
• Oversee administration and completion of Diversity and Inclusion surveys
• Provide support to the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer, Chair of Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Diversity & Inclusion Committee
• Coordinate with firm-wide business development to prepare and review responses to requests for proposals (RFP’s)
• Prepare initial drafts of diversity-related communications and reports
• Work closely with the recruiting team on diversity focused recruiting efforts
• Manage and coordinate Diversity & Inclusion sponsorships with third party organizations
• Manage the planning and administration of firm diversity sponsorship programs and other events in collaboration with Professional Development and Events, including devising participation strategies and networking with vendors to enhance program quality
• Support the Firm's affinity groups by meeting with group leaders to develop goals, plan events and programs, and attract new members
• Manage the Diversity & Inclusion budget
• Stay apprised of industry trends and best practices and engage in thought leadership in the diversity and inclusion discipline through participation in industry organizations and interaction with various diversity pipeline organizations
• Represent the Firm on diversity-related issues at conferences, seminars, professional associations and business meetings
• Other duties related to the Firm's Diversity and Inclusion efforts as required

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure, with proven time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and organize complex information
• Forward-thinking, detailed-oriented, self-starter, personable
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information and demonstrate good judgment

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college/university; or equivalent training, education and experience
• 5-7 years of related work experience
• Experience of a similar role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
