The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager is responsible for executing firm-wide strategies and practices to advance the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion (“DEI”) goals; supporting the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and its resource groups as well as the Diversity Partner; gathering, analyzing and presenting DEI internal and external data; responding to requests for DEI information from clients and organizations including surveys; and managing internal and external communications and relationships to promote DEI objectives.


Serve as a resource with respect to the design and implementation of DEI initiatives and provide support to firm stakeholders in support of the firm’s DEI goals, including projects related to the recruitment, development, retention, advancement, and education of the firm’s attorneys and staff, sponsorship initiatives, and DEI programming and DEI events both internally and externally.

Provide support to the DEI Committee and resource groups, the Women’s Development Initiative, and the Working Parents’ Committee, including organizing meetings, designing and executing programs and initiatives, and evaluating progress toward goals.
Provide support to the Diversity Partner in executing the firm’s DEI goals.

Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development teams regarding the firm’s DEI commitment and activities, including for purposes of internal communications and presentations, news releases, internal and external DEI websites, external publications, and in response to client and industry requests.

Collaborate with the Human Resources, Attorney Recruiting, and Professional Development departments on hiring, integration, mentoring, and professional development efforts to further the firm’s DEI goals.

In collaboration with the firm’s Human Resources and Marketing teams, manage the firm’s participation in and response to industry surveys regarding DEI, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information for all submissions.

Monitor progress made on the firm’s diversity goals, including analyzing firm data/metrics regarding diversity hiring and attrition statistics.
Coordinate and monitor the DEI budget in partnership with the DEI Committee and resource groups, including sponsorships, vendor relationships, and other programs with regular assessments of relationships and expenditures, and identification of additional opportunities.
Consult with, collaborate and create accountability with key internal stakeholders around developing and integrating DEI goals and strategies into all business processes and practices across administrative departments and offices.

Represent the firm at various internal and external functions, including bar association, law student association, recruiting, and other similar functions, serving as a firm spokesperson on DEI issues.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with minority bar and student associations to attract candidates from historically underrepresented backgrounds.

Keep abreast of DEI strategies, trends, and best practices to identify areas for innovation and greater impact through attending DEI programming/conferences and reading relevant materials on a regular basis and report such information to the DEI Committee.
Other duties may be requested and/or assigned.


Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic and complex environment, meeting deadlines and successfully managing the daily workload

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and spoken, and ability to establish credibility, build trust, and develop positive working relationships with team members, firm leadership, lawyers, and other professionals

Extensive Knowledge of DEI practices, strategies, and trends particularly in the legal industry
Vision and passion for DEI initiatives

Project management skills, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and stakeholders; autonomously creating, monitoring, and analyzing project progress, and assessing project results

Understanding of Excel and ability to build and maintain spreadsheets, utilize pivot tables and advanced formulas, identify and track trends over time and other key metrics as needed

Impeccable attention to detail

Energy, enthusiasm, and resilience

Proficiency in utilizing the full suite of Microsoft office software, including advanced functions of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


Bachelor degree required

5+ years of related experience, preferably in corporate or law firm environments with a significant level of responsibility and expertise in DEI initiatives

Talent acquisition and talent management experience within a professional services organization preferred

Experience with reporting and query tools, databases and data management


Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer)
Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use).
Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication.
May require occasional light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.).
In addition to the essential functions outlined above:

Individual in this position will provide additional assistance and support as directed by their supervisor.

Position will require occasional travel to attend and support DEI events and initiatives
