Job Summary & Objectives:

Work as a key member of the Firm’s Professional Development (PD) Team to plan and execute the Firm’s Talent Management programs and initiatives, with primary responsibility for ensuring compliance with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements and licensure requirements for all attorneys.

Administer the Firm’s CLE program and offerings, including maintaining familiarity with basic CLE rules and requirements in various jurisdictions, and overseeing the accreditation, issuance of credit, maintenance of accredited provider status, and communication regarding training and professional development opportunities.
Manage the CLE process and training programs within the Firm’s learning management system, including setting up, monitoring and tracking programs within that system.
Work collaboratively with the PD Team to coordinate and implement a wide variety of training programs across the firm, including large-scale PD Programs (e.g. orientation program for incoming associates, trial academy, etc.), skills-based workshops, practice-specific sessions, and individual training classes as part of Blank Rome University.
Prepare and file required CLE course application documents to accredit Firm CLE programs and issue credits and certificates.
Respond to audits, and apply for and maintain accredited provider status in various jurisdictions.
Draft internal communications regarding training and professional development opportunities.
Develop, maintain, and update spreadsheets, charts, databases, and other administrative support to assist the PD Team’s tracking of CLE compliance and licensure and running of CLE-accredited programs.
Regularly interface with attorneys to support them in their professional development, encourage and monitor participation in PD programs, and help with CLE and licensure questions and issues.
Manage and update Blank Rome University’s Online Classroom, including organizing on-demand video library of training programs and occasionally editing videos as needed.
Update content related to PD programs on the Firm’s intranet portals.
Support the PD Team with other PD-related programming and logistical coordination.


Bachelor’s Degree

Work in law firm or other professional services firm preferred.
Experience with learning management systems and knowledge of CLE rules preferred.

Communication Skills
Excellent communicator: Highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Computer Skills
Strong technical and computer skills: proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel required. Experience with PowerPoint, viDesktop and Camtasia a plus.

Client service oriented: Works well with supervisors and can effectively interface with attorneys at all levels, staff, and outside vendors. Highly responsive.
Team player: Works collaboratively.
