Attorney Training + Development Specialist

Snell & Wilmer is seeking an administrative professional to join our 6-member Attorney Recruiting & Development team. The individual will support our attorney learning and development efforts in the areas of training and continuing legal education (CLE), mentoring, performance evaluations, and newly-hired attorney integration and onboarding. This is a firmwide role that requires excellent organizational skills, knowledge of the legal profession, good judgment, and the ability to keep information confidential.

Typical duties will include:
- Serving as an initial point of contact for attorneys seeking assistance or involvement with our learning and development initiatives.
- Tracking and updating a variety of records, including mentoring and partnership advisor pairings, professional membership rosters, and attorney onboarding and departure checklists.
- Using software to support the annual attorney evaluation process through the collection and distribution of performance assessments.
- Assisting with the onboarding of new attorneys, including coordinating with multiple firmwide departments, calendaring key dates to support onboarding and lateral integration efforts, and the administration of new-hire paperwork. (Experience with an HRIS onboarding system is a plus.)
- Using software to manage and track internal CLE offerings, seek accreditation, issue certificates, and maintain accurate CLE records.
- Keeping our online Career Development Portal updated with current information about learning and development opportunities at the firm.
- Maintaining PACER accounts for attorneys.
- Attending and recording minutes for various development-related committee and subcommittee meetings.
- Assisting with a variety of other duties that support attorney learning and development across the firm.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior law firm administrative or HR experience is preferred
- Experience working with sensitive and/or confidential matters
- Service orientation, responsiveness, and collaborative problem-solving abilities
- Creativity, positivity, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of colleagues in a professional and thoughtful manner

Phoenix is the preferred location for this role, and it may be filled at the Coordinator or Specialist level, depending on experience. Although no travel is required, the individual will support attorney professional development firmwide.
