Reporting to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting, the Attorney Talent Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for administering and driving the strategic recruitment plans to support the hiring goals of lateral attorneys, for a diverse range of practice groups, across all U.S. offices, including building a deep understanding of each practice group, proactively sourcing candidates, reviewing candidate submissions, scheduling interviews, summarizing feedback, making offer recommendations to practice group leaders and/or specialty group leaders and onboarding newly hired attorneys.


Participate in meetings with key member of the practice group to understand the essential job and knowledge requirements needed to fill lateral attorney positions and develop ideal candidate profiles based on success factors and performance measures.

Devise sourcing strategies that produce and maintain qualified and diverse candidate pools through job postings, internal and external referrals and direct sourcing of potential candidates.

Drive full recruiting cycle of open positions, including reviewing and posting job openings, reviewing resume submissions, presenting qualitied candidates to members of the practice group, scheduling candidate meetings, collecting and summarizing feedback, making offer recommendations based on feedback and generating appropriate offer letters.

Serve as liaison to prospective candidates and/or legal attorney search agencies from the initial interview stage through the onboarding stage.

Oversee all due diligence components of the recruiting process, including obtaining and thoroughly analyzing information provided on applications, sending required conflict disclosure forms to CICC and using sound judgement in reviewing background check reports to determine whether or not they are aligned to firm standards.

Using the onboarding platform (Taleo), onboard newly hired attorneys and provide general support to local office recruiting members to finalize onboarding and orientation details. Collaborate with various business support departments to ensure that all necessary steps are completed prior to the new hires arrival.

Using the applicant tracking system (LawCruit), ensure that the relevant recruiting data and metrics are always accurate for each candidate, practice group and office. Generate and review lateral attorney pipeline reports and statistics information for practice group members regarding ongoing search and candidate status updates.

Keep key members of Senior Management, Attorney Talent, partners, attorneys and business support staff informed of lateral attorney recruiting processes to maximize positive experiences for newly hired attorneys.
Keep well-informed on recruiting goals, industry trends and innovative sourcing strategies to contribute to market intelligent inquiries as well as identify process improvements. Provide input on practice group specific, marketing campaigns and the development of customized best recruiting strategies.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Three to five years of executive-level recruiting experience preferably in the legal or a comparable professional services industry, preferably in a multi-office setting.
Minimum of two years experience working in a law firm or professional service firm environment required.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency to advance experience using Microsoft Office programs, database programs (e.g., LawCruit; and recruiting technologies, such as Taleo and LinkedIn, strongly preferred.
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.

Ability to respond positively to shifting priorities and well organized to administer multiple functions.
Strong sense of judgement to recognize confidential information and to maintain confidentially of such information.
Attention to details and the ability to follow up and follow through.
Team focused and a natural ability to share information, goals, opportunities, successes and failures with appropriate parties.

Incumbent will be expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
