Joshua Troy is the Director of Attorney Professional Development at Blank Rome LLP, where he engages with attorneys to ensure their professional and personal success. Josh works with attorneys across all seniority levels, practice areas, and offices. His specific responsibilities include developing, enhancing, and executing initiatives focused on attorney training, advising, feedback, and career progression. In his position, Josh also plays a significant role in overseeing associate mentoring and sponsorship programs, including the firm’s Career Development Advisor Program, and managing year-round associate and counsel performance management processes. Josh regularly partners with the Marketing, Innovation, and Pro Bono teams on designing and implementing internal and external programs, including business development coaching and pro bono training initiatives. Additionally, Josh is a co-founder and administrative adviser to the firm’s BR Parents Forum, administrative adviser to the firm’s Women’s Forum, and a member of the firm’s Well-Being Committee and co-chair of the Emotional Health Subcommittee. He also is a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Law School Mentor.

Josh received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from Brown University. Prior to joining Blank Rome, Josh practiced as a litigator.

What is the best vacation you have ever taken?
Other than my honeymoon, it was visiting and watching a game at 30 major league baseball stadiums over 32 days.

What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Reality TV competitions. I’m fully caught up on every season of MTV’s The Challenge, Survivor, and Top Chef, among others.

What is your favorite family tradition?
Despite all the challenges during the pandemic, I’m grateful for the dinners and bedtime rituals that have become a part of (almost) every night with my family.
