| Governance
The PDC is governed by a Board of Directors. The membership elects half of the board at each summer conference, with the tenure of Board Members lasting for 2 years.
The positions of the Board of Directors include:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Member of the Membership Committee (2 positions)
- Member of the Nominating Committee and Publications liaison
- Chair/Member of the Winter Conference Committee
- Chair/Member of the Summer Conference Committee
- Special Projects Coordinator
The PDC also has the Membership, Nominating and Conference Committees to help manage specific areas of the organization. The Membership Committee reviews new member applications and recommends new member admissions for Board approval. The Nominating Committee develops and presents a slate of candidates for the Board of Directors on which the membership votes. The Conference Committees plan the summer and winter conferences. The size of the committees varies and each committee is chaired by a Board member and comprised of general members.
